The new scheme aims to recycle the waste generated from the market stalls such as the build up of boxes and bags. New Milton now joins three other New Forest markets to receive the recycling scheme with successful operations in Lymington, Ringwood and Hythe. The new scheme will help ensure that recyclable waste disposal will now be sent to recycling plants rather than a landfill. The document aims to guide householders, landowners, businesses and developers on the design of new buildings, with particular regard to character retention and implementation of related policies within the District Council's recently adopted 'Core Strategy', plus implementation of the other policies within. Appendix 3 of the draft document contains the recently adopted New Milton Town Design Statement. Since its launch the Basics Bank have provided over 2390 food parcels and helped feed over 5000 families.
